Austin hail damage
Hail hit your roof? Start with a free inspection.
Big Texas Roofing & Solar is headquartered in Austin. After a hailstorm we inspect your roof, document the damage with dated photos, tarp leaks fast, and repair or replace the roof with GAF Master Elite certified crews.
What hail damage looks like
Most hail damage is hard to see from the ground.
Central Texas spring storms can bruise shingles without leaving obvious holes. Left alone, those bruises let water in and shorten the life of the roof. These are the signs we look for on every Austin inspection.
- Dark spots or bruises where granules were knocked off shingles
- Dented gutters, downspouts, vents and metal flashing
- Cracked or split shingles and broken ridge caps
- Granules piling up at the bottom of downspouts
- Dings on window screens, AC units and fences
- New ceiling stains or attic leaks after the storm
Right after the storm
Three things to do first.
- 1
Stop the water
If the roof is leaking, call us for emergency tarping or shrink wrap. Keep the receipt, because protecting the home from more damage is part of most policies.
- 2
Note the storm date
Write down the date and take ground level photos of dented gutters, screens and hail on the lawn. Stay off the roof and let us handle that part.
- 3
Free inspection first
We inspect every slope and document each hit with dated photos, then tell you plainly whether you have a claim, a simple repair, or nothing to worry about.
